This car seat has hook-and-loop tabs that are positioned on the bottom and top to safely secure it in place with a seatbelt. Once we watched the instructional video on proper car seat use, we found it easy to properly install this bed in a car.

The mesh top, while removable, should be kept on when in the car, and only taken off when using the Sleepypod as a bed. There is a removable liner in the seat that is machine-washable. Plus, you get to pick from many colors, so be sure to get your dog's favorite one.

The Sleepypod Mobile Pet Bed is only suitable for small dogs weighing up to 15 pounds, and the mini version maxes out at 7 pounds. Despite its design for petite dogs, we did find it to be bulky and awkward for use as a pet carrier.
