Ideal for energetic dogs who love a challenge, this interactive toy is a fun plush tree trunk packed with squeaky squirrels. The dog has to find them and pull them all out. Our three test dogs loved this toy, and each interacted with it in a different way, from carefully removing each squirrel to carrying the entire tree around in their mouth.

The squirrels aren't especially durable, but we like that you can order replacement squirrels (or the critter of your choice). This puzzle toy comes in three sizes, which include three to six critters, depending on size.

Slow feeders add enrichment to mealtime, and can help slow down a dog who eats too quickly. The Outward Hound Fun Feeder Slo Bowl is our favorite slow feeder. Our testers liked its deep grooves, which made the bowl a nice challenge for her dog who had mastered other slow feeders. This bowl comes in two sizes, mini/medium and regular/large. Note: because of its deep grooves, it may prove frustrating for very small dogs. We recommend it for medium (or larger) dogs who like a challenge.

MalsiPree Dog Water Bottle

This handy travel water bottle is easy to use one-handed, and fits in a cupholder. Just turn the bottle on its side, press the button, and fill the lid with water. If a dog doesn’t drink everything, press the button to drain the water back into the bottle. Our testers who travel often with dogs were surprised how much they liked this bottle. "I really didn't expect to like this at all, but I really loved it," said one tester who frequently transports foster dogs.

This mat comes in two sizes, and has many spots to hide treats. Sprinkle in your treats or Kibble, then add extras into the mat's many pockets, flaps, and other hidey-holes. This is both fun and enriching for the dog, and slows down their eating. We tested this mat with an Australian Shepherd puppy, and it increased the duration of his meals from 15 seconds to 15 minutes.

Blue Buffalo Blue Bits are some of our favorite dog treats. We named these "best training treat" because of their small sizes, soft, moist texture, and tastiness. They also break down into smaller pieces easily for puppies or smaller dogs. Our tester loved these when training her puppy, Gemma. She liked the cute heart shape and the fact that the first ingredient is always an animal-sourced protein. Made in the United States, these treats contain no preservatives or artificial flavors or colors.

One of our favorite interactive toys, Woof The Pupsicle is a great way to keep dogs entertained. Unscrew the bottom and place a treat inside, then give it to your dog and let them go to town. You can provide your own treats, buy the Pupsicle Refill Pops, or make your own frozen treats with their dog treat mold tray. We tested this toy with a Pomeranian who loved to lick the frozen treats. We love that it's dishwasher-safe and easy to take apart and put back together.

We tested this bed with a 75-pound Golden Retriever, who loved stretching out on it as well as resting their head on the bolsters. Our tester also found that the bed stayed very clean, even after several weeks of use. This bed comes in six sizes — our Golden Retriever used the large size.
